Festival Hall began to fill with people nearly an hour before the second Uturn event began. After November's Uturn, people knew what to expect at a Uturn event: good music, good people, good fun, and good news.

The evening began as the band played familiar songs from November's Uturn, such as: Everyday, Blessed Be Your Name and One Way. Many new songs were included such as Lifesong (by contemporary Christian rock band Casting Crowns) and Your Love Oh Lord (by contemporary Christian rock band Third Day).

Chris, the MC, got everyone shouting and having fun. He didn't just give away a prize this time; he asked anyone to sing any song. Singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" won a girl a log cake from Kläsis Bakery.

Chris wasn't the only one providing laughs. The drama team did two very different skits. One to make us laugh: one to make us think. I could describe them to you, but why would I do that when you can watch them? Check out the skits by clicking here.

Elias, the drummer of the Uturn band, shared with us about his life. He mentioned one question that he was asked when he was very young: "Do you know if you are going to Heaven when you die?" At that time in his life, he just didn't know. Later, he came to realize that he would never be good enough to get to Heaven. He knew that he needed someone's help (Jesus'), but he still didn't do anything about it. The question never left him: "Where are you going?" Sometime later, in Ottawa, he heard more about the love of God and how Jesus died for him. That night Elias thanked God and asked Jesus to take away his sin. Check out more about Elias on the Band page.

After some more fun and singing, John gave some input from his own life experience about how Jesus gives us guidance, through the Bible, for living. He encouraged us to read the Bible prayerfully, to search it carefully, and to act on the instructions.
